Close to the motorway exit and within easy reach of the historic center, there is the Trattoria I Du Matt, a modern and cozy place where you can sample traditional Parmesan dishes.
Among the menu proposals, you can choose, for example: the fragrant “torta frittta” accompanying typical cold cuts including, amongst others, the ones made with the ancient local race of black pigs, or the great PDOs such as Culatello di Zibello and Parma Ham; to continue with the first courses based on stuffed pasta, such as tortelli d’erbetta and broth anolini; and arrive at second coursed made with horse meat or classic roasts. The territory also returns in desserts, first of all the inevitable Duchess Cake. The menu of tradition is accompanied by pleasant contemporary surprises, based on a balance of flavors and perfumes.
Great attention to research is finally dedicated to the wine cellar that overlooks the dining room, directly handled by a professional sommelier who will be able to advise on the best combinations with the chosen dishes. The wine list is a journey between the great Italian labels and the small territorial wineries.
The restaurant has an indoor car park, complete with a meeting room and a classroom for cooking classes.
