On the mountains of the Parma Apennines close to Corniglio, in an environment where nature still orders the times of work and daily life, stands Ca’ Mezzadri. Born with the purpose to safeguard and promote the Parma black pig, a local breed which guarantees exquisite meat, the farm prefers for its animals the farming in the wild in about four hectares of rescued unproductive soil. This kind of farming respects animals, which are free to eat and move around in nature, and the territory, which doesn’t withstands any transformation neither in its vegetation nor in its conformation, and guarantees the genuineness of the products.
