Inside the Regional Park of the Boschi di Carrega, between Collecchio and Sala Baganza, the farm Montecoppe produces Parmigiano Reggiano PDO using only the milk of its own cows, from the Frisona Italiana and Bruna Alpina race, reared in compliance with the regulations. and animal welfare.
Every day the freshly milked milk arrives at the dairy where it is processed and transformed into Parmigiano Reggiano PDO Montecoppe, a unique cheese with a sweet and aromatic taste, with a straw yellow color and a particular predisposition to long aging.
Montecoppe is therefore an example of a short and sustainable supply chain, within which it is possible to make guided visits both to the dairy and to the breeding, allowing visitors to discover from the ground to the table all the secrets of the King of cheeses.
Inside the farm there is also the shop where, along with Parmigiano Reggiano, there are typical products and other gastronomic excellences, including cured meats, wines, oils and preserves.
