Benassi salami factory was founded in 1960 by the same family that still owns it today, and this is certainly a guarantee of tradition, continuity, seriousness and a lot of passion. Initially established as a pig slaughtering company and cured meat production, today it is specialized in the production of excellent products such as Culatello, Fiocchetto di Castelguelfo, Salame Felino PGI, Strolghino and Coppa di Parma PGI, masterpieces of Parma gastronomic tradition.
Benassi factory is very attentive to health and nutritional aspects by offering products gluten free, especially culatello and ham do not contain nitrites and nitrates, the raw materials come from selected Italian farms and slaughterhouses, seasoning takes place in underground cellars in humidity and in the penumbra, to acquire the characteristic flavor. The high standards of hygiene and health and strict veterinary checks reduce the amount of salt.
Now in their third generation and driven by passion, the owners of Benassi factory also offer guided tours of the production and maturing cellars, as well as a visit to their shop to buy the best of typical local products.
