Proposed by Assapora Appennino
A walk with Maria Luigia D’Austria – Grand Duchess of Parma from 1816 to 1847 – to discover her favorite places and savor and feel the atmosphere of her times. During the visit we will stop to taste the desserts she had brought from Paris and that still today are appreciated in the city, the delicious sweet green tortelli.
Tasty stops and fascinating story are the main ingredients of these pleasant Saturday afternoon tours in Parma: the walk will start from the Glauco Lombardi Museum where objects, clothes, jewels of Maria Luigia are kept and then out walking through the streets and squares dotted with monuments that saw her as the protagonist of a good government for which even today Parma remember her with gratitude.
