GUSTO AL SAN PAOLO! GLI ITALIANI A TAVOLA. 1970-2050

GUSTO AL SAN PAOLO! GLI ITALIANI A TAVOLA. 1970-2050

From 23 September to 27 November, the Open Laboratory of the San Paolo Complex hosts a special edition of the exhibition “GUSTO! Gli italiani a tavola. 1970-2050 “, conceived and produced by M9 – Museo del ‘900 in Venice Mestre.

The exhibition explores the relationship between Italians and food: a relationship that has profoundly changed since the 1970s.
The key word is “Gusto-Taste”, expressed in five meanings: “Italian Taste”, a sum of the Italian wealth of raw materials and products of excellence; “Taste away from home”, made up of restaurants, trattorias, convivial occasions, festivals, all spaces where food is the protagonist; “The taste of travel”, which illustrates the way in which Italians tell their identity abroad, but also how they are seen by others; “The taste of the encounter”, a cultural bridge between different areas of Italy and different styles of food and life; “Today’s Taste”, with a focus on the relationship between what we eat and the most urgent needs of contemporary society.
