MONTE FUSO REGIONAL PARK

The Monte Fuso Provincial Park covers a total area of 45 hectares and is rich in flora and fauna, with oaks, chestnut trees, cherry trees, walnuts, hornbeams, ash trees, maples and a large linden tree; among the shrubs hazelnuts, rowans, labyrinths, dog roses and brooms. In the Park there is also a Wildlife Center with over eighty ungulates, including deer, fallow deer and mouflons.

Adjacent to the area of the Faunistic Center there are sub-schools for educational activities on animals of the Parmesan livestock biodiversity: Black pig of Parma, Pecora Cornigliese and Tacchino of Parma and Piacenza. In correspondence of the enclosure there is an educational path dedicated to school groups and groups visiting the Park.

There are many  touristic, sorts and educational activities that you can practice: hiking on the CAI network, mtb with more than 70 km of cycle path, horse riding, traditional archery, orienteering and many other activities in nature.

They are available to visitors: visitor center and information office, bar-restaurant, area for campers, playground for children, picnic area, teaching room and conference room.
