In the 19th century the Barilla enterprise began in Parma, creating the link between territory and product symbol of Italian culture: this was the genesis of the Pasta Museum. The exhibition tells the whole history starting from the raw material, the grain of wheat, and its transformation in the tradition of home cooking through to industrial production. Curious objects, large machinery and testimonials of the time guide the journey through history, customs and food deeply influenced by a product that is now an international heritage.
