Born in 1933 to meet the need to supply milk to the city, today the CPL – Consortio Produttori Latte is an important reality that over the years has been transformed to become, today, one of the leading producers of Parmigiano Reggiano.
Every year the CPL produces about 10,000 forms of Parmigiano thanks to the over 51,000 liters of milk that are supplied by the Consortium’s farms. The result of this process is a Parmigiano Reggiano of excellence, with seasonings from the most classic, 12-24-30 months, to the most long-lived as 36 or 44 months.
Very close to the city but also to the motorway exit, the CPL is available for guided tours to the production where you will discover how Parmigiano is born, listening to the wisdom of the cheese makers. Parmigiano and many other typical products are sold in the attached store.
