From very little Parma has celebrated the 2200 years since its foundation in Rome, what better opportunity to rediscover it together? As an expert communication archaeologist, Giacomo Cacciatore will take you to the most significant places of the ancient city to understand what is its urban and architectural heritage handed down over the centuries. You will also visit the places dedicated to the preservation of the archaeological memory of the archaeological Parma but also of the nineteenth-century collections acquired through the antique taste of the time: the National Archaeological Museum of Parma and the monastery of San Paolo (Roman shrine and excavations). The rooms of the TCafè or the terrace of the Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati are already ready with their rich buffet of tasting products of the Parmesan gastronomic tradition: Parma Ham, Culatello di Zibello, Salame di Felino, Parmigiano Reggiano and more! At the end of the buffet, upon availability of the owners, a visit will be made to the representation hall of the Marquises Dalla Rosa Prati, still residing in the Palazzo.
If the Museums are closed, only the “archaeological walk” will take place (approximately 2 hours) with possible reduction in prices.
COST: The tour has a cost per person (buffet tasting and excluding tickets) of € 10.00, for groups of 10 or more, in the case of smaller groups (from 1 to 9 people) the price will be € 100.00 total (buffet and price of tickets excluded). In case of closure of the Museums the price per person will be € 8.00 for groups of 10 or more and € 80.00 (total) for groups of 1 to 9 people, excluding buffet tasting.
